Cara Ann is excited to be part of this new adventure of starting Salt San Diego! There are already a lot of great churches so this is not in competition but simply another space to experience God and to encouraged a relationship with Jesus Christ. As the Family Pastor, Cara Ann is looking forward to seeing the creative ways in which our faith can be nurtured across all ages.

Cara Ann has over 20 years of ministry experience in children, youth, college, families, and pastoral care ministries and holds a Master’s of Divinity degree from Bethel Seminary San Diego. Cara Ann also works at Point Loma Nazarene University as an adjunct professor in the Theology and Christian Studies department and is highly connected with Pacific Theological Seminary in San Diego. She was born and raised in Hawaii, in the United Church of Christ denomination, where she met her husband when they were teenagers. They have been married for 17 years and have three joyous children. Cara Ann loves a good cup of coffee and going on family adventures which usually involves exploring new places, cheering on the Padres, and being outdoors.
