Salt Church Children’s Director

The Children’s Director is responsible for children’s activities at Salt Church. This will primarily include, but is not limited to, creating and following curriculum and gathering volunteers to teach and lead the children’s program on Sunday mornings during Salt Church’s weekly worship gatherings. The goal is to have a community of children who step into what Jesus is calling them to. We do this through Sunday morning church services and occasional programs for kids and their families to engage with both the community and Jesus. Those considered “children” at Salt Church are all those 18 and under.

This role reports directly to the Community Pastor.

Duties Include:

• Creating and running Sunday morning children’s programs (this includes determining curriculum, direction, class size and age breakdowns of services for children)

• Building, training, and maintaining a volunteer core for all children’s ministries (ideally the Children’s Director would not always be tied to a room on Sunday mornings, but available to meet with parents, oversee volunteers, and engage with the rest of the Salt community)

• Attending 30 minute weekly staff meeting (day/time TBA)

• Attending weekly 30 minute meeting with Community Pastor

• Providing weekly content for social media

• Developing creative ways to ensure parents/guardians feel empowered to disciple those children in their care

• Other duties as assigned
